Junior Sailing Brochure 2017

March 1st: Online registration opens. Registrations received online between March 1st and June 1st will be accepted in the order received. When a class is filled, additional reservations for that class at that time will be placed on a waitlist or offered other appropriate available classes. Thus, an early online reservation is the best way to ensure your child gets the class of their choice.

May 31st: Registrations received after May 31st will be charged a $50 late fee per registration. These registrations are not guaranteed and will only be confirmed if space is available in classes. *Please make every effort to register online as soon as you know your plans and certainly well before June 1st.

Members must log in to the NYC website in order to access the online registration.

A Junior Sailing Guest Member is a non-member child who is sponsored by a NYC member and who participates in the NYC Junior Sailing Program.

Fee Structure: Guest fees are $610 per guest member per season, with no discount for siblings or otherwise.

April 15:  Registration request process opens for guests online; once a guest has placed an online request, they must complete the paper “Member/Sponsor Form,” and submit it with a check for their membership fee to the Nantucket Yacht Club.  NOTE: These requests are not guaranteed, and will only be confirmed after June 1st, if space is available in classes.

June 1:  Open slots in classes are filled in the order that registrations were received; however, students will not be placed until their signed Member / Sponsor form and Guest registration fee has been received by NYC.
Guest Registrations received after May 31st will be subject to a $50 late fee.

Change in Billing Procedure: Billing for 2017 summer registrations will be processed on June 19.  Any additional registrations weeks or credits will be adjusted throughout the summer in accordance with Sailing Department policies.

Mariners and Whalers replace our former “Beginner Sailing” and “Intermediate Opti” classes.

“Day-Of” Registrations are not accepted or confirmed.  A student is eligible to begin classes at the next regular meeting of their class.  These registrations will not be pro-rated.

August 21-25: Race Teams will not be practicing, but our Race Team sailors will be encouraged to assist each afternoon in storing their respective boats for the season.  Private lessons will still be available during this time, and some boats may be available for member sailing during the afternoons of this week.
